    What a unique engagement ring this would make! The mounting is from the 1910s, a classic confection of green gold, gold that has been alloyed with sterling silver to give a natural, green tint. The top of the piece is laid and widened into a frame, which is the best way to set off the incredible sapphire that we've mounted. The flush setting of the stone and the open work of the undercarriage work to keep this piece glowing and bright, while safely out of harm's way.
