A beauty from the Retro Era, this solitaire ring features soft, rose-hued gold and a floral style. This is set with the original gem, a synthetic alexandrite that will change from a warmer purple to a teal-blue purple, depending on the light in which it is worn!

This stone dates back to the 1950s when synthetic corundum was produced to imitate synthetic alexandrite. In the vintage and estate industry, these synthetic corundum (synthetic sapphire) gemstones from this period are almost always referred to as synthetic alexandrite, even though they are chemically synthetic corundum. The chemical properties of this stone are synthetic corundum, but the trade name is synthetic alexandrite.
