These exquisite diamond studs were obtained by Market Square from a well-to-do family in Vermont. When we purchased these earrings, the previous owner had them displayed in, what we believe to be, their original box: a 1910-1920 antique velvet Tiffany and Company box. Though these earrings are unmarked, we believe that they are examples of early 1900s Tiffany and Co.
In the early 1900s, Tiffany and Co. marked their stud earrings on their backings. These earrings have been upgraded to new backings by the previous owner and have hence lost the proof/provenance of Tiffany and Co. Supported by the family from which we purchased these earrings, the box in which they were presented to us, the size, quality, original state, and impeccable design, it is our opinion that these are in fact Tiffany and Co stud earrings. But regardless, purchase these for the love of them. For the way, the light hits the facets of the European cuts in candlelight, for the low profile, timelessly feminine design. They're truly exquisite.
